User Guide — GetSmart Token
Welcome to the GetSmart Token platform. This guide covers everything a learner or sponsor needs to use GetSmart effectively.
What is GetSmart Token?
GetSmart is a free, nonprofit education platform run by Digital Financial Aid Corporation (501(c)(3), IRS EIN 88-3868816). It awards $GETS — a non-tradable utility token on the Base network — to learners who complete verified skill challenges.
$GETS is not a tradable cryptocurrency. It is a digital record of educational achievement, issued on-chain to verify your learning — not for speculation or investment.
Wallet Setup — Coinbase Wallet on Base
GetSmart uses the Base network (Ethereum Layer 2 by Coinbase). You need a Coinbase Wallet — not MetaMask, not a Polygon wallet.
Migrated from Polygon: Earlier versions of the platform used Polygon (MATIC). The platform now runs entirely on Base. If you had a Polygon-era account, contact hello@getstoken.org to migrate.
- Download Coinbase Wallet at coinbase.com/wallet
- Create your wallet — your
0x...address is your on-chain identity - Connect your wallet to your GetSmart Dashboard

Ghost Badge Warning
The Aithority releases fake NFTs designed to look like real GetSmart badges. Two rules:
